We have a 7800DX and were are very interested in the 3G/4G Mobility and Always-On Connectivity feature but we have a question about if this would work with a fixed IP address.
Normally, the 7800DX will be connected to our ISP using a DSL connection. Our ISP provides us with a fixed IP address.
If the DSL connection fails, our understanding is that the 4G feature could be configured to kick in automatically but would we still be able to use the same fixed IP address that we have with the DSL connection?

Nope, as you will be then using the IP address from your 4G provider, (most 4G providers in the UK provide a private IP via a 4G connection, so running double NAT)StuH1975 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 28, 2021 12:10 pm We have a 7800DX and were are very interested in the 3G/4G Mobility and Always-On Connectivity feature but we have a question about if this would work with a fixed IP address.
