Thanks for your reply, so am I right in saying there is no model planned at the moment to follow the 8800AXL in the UK with attenna's?

We should be releasing a 8900 series AC VDSL/ADSL router hopefully with external antennas (we are still waiting for a beta sample so we can confirm the specs)

A month on and still no news.....did you receive a sample yet? even if you did i assume its still a few months away from launching.......why it is talking so long to launch a new model of router in europe is beyond me....if you see someone from R&D please give them a slap from me!

in the meantime I will have to order the 8800AXL and make do.....

I can understand your frustration, (I also want to release the device ASAP) I have been told that the samples should arrive in August, hopefully shipping out before the end of the year

Well here in the UK the 8800axl is a dead duck, nobody is selling it. I assume that this is due to the release of the 8900. Any idea when its due in the UK. Till then will continue with my 7800 downstream of the Openreach modem (yuk).

yep Broadcom based, with SNR tweak for a ADSL line (no tweak for VDSL, as it is overridden by BT)
