I'd be grateful for combined modem/router recommendations to replace an unreliable BT Smarthub on 80/20 Infinity and with BT HD TV. Thanks in advance for your help.

Any reason why you don't recommend the Billion BiPAC 8800AXL?

@billion_fan There's a big differential in price between the costlier models - the 8800NL R2 looks like a real bargain! Tough question I guess but in terms of connection stability/downstream performance do you reckon I might lose out if I don't stump up for one of the more expensive models?

The 8800NL R2 is a bargain and is our entry level router, the 8900AX- 2400 has the better line performance at range/distance from the exchange as well as better wireless performance (which is what you would expect, not saying the 8800NL R2 is bad performer, but if you want the best of the best go for the Bipac 8900AX-2400)

You can always try the 8800NL R2, and if its not what you are expecting you can return it (you have upto 30 days with Amazon)

@billion_fan Okey doke, thanks for that. But is there a difference between the Bipac 8900AX-2400 and the 4x4 MU-MIMO AC 2400 Dual Band Wireless that the link opens on Amazon? Or is it the same unit and they've got it named differently?
