7800N WiFi failed after upgrading firmware

I have a 7800N which the WiFi seems to have failed after updating the firmware.

Everything else works fine on it, just the WiFi doesnt work.

The unit is out of warranty now (I purchased it 2nd hand) and I am thinking, is it possible to:

1) Download an older revision of firmware that might work ?
2) Is it possible to replace the MiniPCI WiFi N style card that seems to be inside the 7800N with a new one ? (is there an off-the-shelf part?)

Thanks

Mark

Here are your answers

1. Yes you can downgrade the firmware, but you need to know which firmware you were running before.

2. There is no off shelf mini PCI Wifi card that you can use as a replacement, I would suggest trying to downgrade the firmware first, as it was working on older firmware.

Also have you tried a factory reset after the firmware upgrade, you can do this by clicking on 'Restart' and select 'Factory Default Settings' and click on 'Restart', WARNING you will have to reconfigure the device again.

thanks for your suggestions and i've tried both of them and more.

I can now actually confirm 100% its a faulty wifi mini pci card as i have another 7800n and i have tried the working card in the faulty router and it works fine.

Just for reference the card I need is a "MICROSTAR MS6893-1.0" and i've opened a ticket with billion to see if I can get one.

Just a shame theres not one off the shelf that would work.

Thanks
