Hi all, I hope everyone's enjoying the festive season.
The VPN setup I have has recently stopped working, and the blame is pointing directly at my 7800N.
I have a VPN server behind the router which was happily serving users until about a week ago. Since then,
I have re-flashed to 1.06e firmware and set up the router again from scratch, forwarding port 1723 to
the correct server. I can see the LCP requests are getting in, but for some reason (I suspect a GRE issue),
the users cannot authenticate and LCP times out.
I have added a packet filter rule to allow all communication via protocol 47 inbound and outbound as well as
port 1723. I am running out of ideas and fast. What's more confusing is that it was working on the same
firmware version.
If anyone has any idea of whether GRE is allowed or blocked by default, I'd love to know.
The VPN features of the 7800N are disabled for obvious reasons.
If anyone could shed any light on this, I'd be most grateful.
