7800N Port Forwarding Issues

Post by Elite666 »

Hi All,

I've recently upgraded to the BiPAC 7800N - I have Virgin Cable broadband and have successfully setup the EWAN port, net con is fine. My issue is that I cannot connect to my Synology DS1511+ from an external location, I have forwarded all ports correctly - is there a setting that is required to be turned on to enable me to connect?

I'm also unable to access the 7800N remotely, I have enabled remote access. I have tried connecting using my DYNDNS and also directly via my IP.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Many thanks in advance,

Will

On your 7800N, what is the IP that is accuired from your Virgin Modem??

Is it a WAN external address or a internal IP address eg 192.168.1.x??

Default port is 80.

Are you able to ping 82.xx.xx.xx, from a external location?

Thanks
