Port Mapping stopped, now doesn't work at all

Post by geezer501 »

Hi all,

As title says, my port mapping stopped working for no apparent reason, and will not work even after reboots and resets to factory settings. Doesn't seem to matter what settings in the firewall section are enabled/disabled nothing has any effect.

Any ideas.

Have you checked to see if the Internal IP address is correct in the port mapping rule.

If your device is using DHCP then the IP could of changed.

I would double check all the settings on the router and on the PC.

Hi Geezer501
old post but hopefully this helps someone else out there.
This can be a common issue with these devices sadly. Easy to config, nice to work with but this issue (if you need the functionality) can render them pointless.
Support is pretty poor on them too I'm afraid. Changed IP on port mapping and test the port but it remains closed. Tried factory reset, reconfig, latest firmware but to no avail.
Once I told the support that I had latest firmware they just stopped responding and havent helped.
found one solution that is guaranteed to work, threw it in the bin and replaced it. Pity though as I liked the config GUI but hey thats the way things go.
