7800NX Static IP's

Post by new27800N »

My firmware version is 2.32e. Is it possible to use the router to assign static IP's to various devices in my network?

The 7800NX is not a UK model, which we don't support, but below is how I normally setup the 7800 series (UK models)

1. Turn off NAT, firewall must be on for WAN connection also
2. Assign the public IP provided by your ISP to the 7800NX LAN IP (normally they state which WAN IP should be assigned to the modem/router)
3. Either turn off the DHCP server, or assign your remaining WAN IP's to the DHCP
4. Setup a incoming rule for your WAN IP's to allow them through the firewall (screen shot example attached)
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
