IPv6 dropping - Known issue?

Post by andruec »

I have an 8800 AR running 2.52.d10 in bridge mode. It's been operating fine for a couple of years now but this last few days it has been losing IPv6 connectivity. IPv4 is fine. Oddly it seems to happen four hours after the router was rebooted. There are no errors reported in the logs and my ISP is not aware of any problems. Does this tie in with any kind of timeout on the router that anyone is aware of?

Hah. Just found an old thread of mine:

I thought this was familiar. I think last time 'it just stopped doing it'.

If the Billion is in bridge mode, the device should be working as a dumb modem only, and should passing everything over to the main router. (so I don't think the Billion device will be the issue, the router that is establishing the PPP connection will request a IPv4/IPv6 connections from the ISP)
