Can I remove Antennas is not using Wireless?

Post by harry66 »

Hi,
Apologies if this is a dumb question - but if I have disabled Wireless on my 8900AX R2 (I am using a Mesh system for the Wifi), can I remove the antenna?
It will make it easier to position the router out of sight if there are no antennas attached.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that removing an antenna from a wireless device can damage the wireless circuitry - just not sure how true that is!

Thanks.

The middle antenna is detachable, the left and right antenna are not removable.

If you disable the wireless function then you can remove the middle antenna
