BiPAC 8900AX2400 2.4Ghz Wireless Problems

Post by siweir »

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone else got a BiPAC 8900AX2400 yet?

I received mine last week and so far I'm appalled by the wireless connectivity.

5Ghz has been dropping out regularly and the 2.4Ghz is unusable.

So far I can't get anything above 0.03Mbps on speedtest.net

I've been playing around with the advanced settings but i can't seem to get any speed increases.

Is anyone else having similar issues?

Thanks.

I received one last week, however it was returned due to cosmetic damage and disappointing wireless performance. I did not perform any throughput tests, I just wanted to check the wireless range, however I like you found the 5Ghz band dropped in and out.

I was hoping that the poor wireless performance and the cosmetic damage where in some way linked (that the unit had been damaged) but possibly not.

Over the past couple of days I was considering ordering another but I think it might be time to look elsewhere.

Can you submit a ticket on the following link http://www.billion.uk.com/esupport/inde ... ets/Submit

Please provide us with as much information as possible about your network topology eg which clients are used and which band they are using, does the slow speeds occur when using a wired connection, what settings you have tried etc, so we can investigate.
