Data throughput sharing

Post by paul2463 »

Hello

To start with I would like to say this is the best router I have even had, much better than the cheap rubbish Orange keep trying to send me. Now my question...

I am in an area with an absolutley rubbish internet connection and very slow data connections, I have two LAN computers and some WLAN computers (when they are turned on!), If my kids are on the internet on one of the LAN computers, when I get home there is no point starting my LAN computer due to there being no data available as they are hoovering it all up. This is a real nooby question and I apologise if it has been asked before ( I did look) but, is there a way I can tell the router that if my computer starts up and connects it gets the lions share of the internet and to hell with their Facebook etc? ( well maybe not get the router to say "hell with your facebook, that would be silly, but you know what I mean)

Best Regards
