Hiya
I have 2 7800 DXL.
1 set up perfect on our ADSL connection and handles ethernet in our office well the range is fine.. The other end of the building is now occupied and I have another 7800 DXL from home ( moved to sky cba to fight with them over Usernames and passwords and the missus is happy) anyway.
The build has some ethernet provision already so I can find plug and a lan port that are in the other end and have a cable essentially directly into my existing setup. Having read a couple of posts already I think that I need to:
On the secondary 7800DXL remove DHCP and set the AP to being the same as my existing setup.
Plug one of the lan ports into the the existing setup?
ANything else I should consider

That should be it, the secondary 7800DXL will work like a wireless hub switch, and the first 7800DXL will do all routing etcstuey0001 wrote:Hiya

Would I need to just give it a static IP Address in the range of the Good existing Lan, rather than use the wan port and DHCP?

That's right if you are turning off the DHCP and plugged the first DXL to the second DXL's LAN ports, then yes.stuey0001 wrote:Would I need to just give it a static IP Address in the range of the Good existing Lan, rather than use the wan port and DHCP?

DXL 1 = 192.168.1.254, DHCP on 192.168.1.100 ~192.168.1.199
DXL 2 = 192.168.1.2, DHCP off (works like a wireless/hub switch)

Thank you very much for your help, it appears to be working very nicely at the moment , even if a little poorly installed
