That being so, then, it looks like I've configured that setting entirely properly.

Can't think why Safari should be performing so badly as far as resolving goes, as I've been sticking to sensible practises with the Mac ever since I first had it. It only started really slowing up with the last Apple update for Safari (under my particular version of OSX), but then seemed to completely stall at times following my acquisition of the 8800NL. Looking on the Mac forums in the last couple of days, it appears that for a month or two now lots of Safari users have been complaining about slowness and stalling, some users having switched to an alternative browser to avoid the problem. Actually, I've been wondering whether clearing the browser's cache would improve it, but I'm reluctant to do so as I suspect it may well also delete my Safari Bookmarks, Reading List, and Privacy settings. As far as the 8800's concerned, though, it looks like there's nothing in it that I've got wrongly set up.
