2.4gHz channel stopped working on 8800AXL R2

Post by Ksaro1 »

Suddenly this afternoon no devices on the 2.4gHz channel were connected. When I look at the status and DHCP and ARP entries I see nothing on this channel.

I do see the following entries in the system log now being repeated

Dec 6 15:26:21 user info syslog: wl1 reinit occurred ..
Dec 6 15:26:26 user info syslog: wl1 reinit occurred ..
Dec 6 15:26:32 user info syslog: wl1 reinit occurred ..
Dec 6 15:26:38 user info syslog: wl1 reinit occurred ..
Dec 6 15:26:43 user info syslog: wl1 reinit occurred ..
Dec 6 15:26:49 user info syslog: wl1 reinit occurred ..

Devices on the 5gHz channel and Ethernet are still working. Is this a hardware fault? I have power cycled the router several times, waiting a few minutes to power on each time

It might be a hardware fault, last thing to try as you have tried a power cycle, is to make a backup of the config and reset back to factory default settings, from default settings see if you can see the SSID and connect via the 2.4ghz band.
