Wondering if someone can help me.
I'm using a 2011 iMac, 7800n with newest firmware and Hide my * is the VPN client.
I've successfully connected to VPN via the Router by entering my details at Advanced>Config>VPN>PPTP Client.
I've then checked the PPTP Status and it shows connected.
Unfortunatly my i check google my ip address, it hasn't changed and whenever trying to connect to netflix, it still knows i'm in Australia,
Is there another step i have to do to make sure all my internet traffic is send over the VPN?
Any help would be great.
Thank you.
7800n Connected to VPN Client but still knows i'm in Aus.

The 7800N VPN does not route traffic across the network.
There is no function on the 7800N to set up your VPN in this way.
The PPTP on 7800N was designed to share networks, not to route traffic across the PPTP tunnel.

No this is enough steps if your network shows you are connected to VPN via the Router. well PPTP VPN also send internet traffic by encrypted form but i think your connection has problem occurred, because while you are watching or access any blocked website your Ip Doesn't change. You should ask to your VPN Provider in this regards and inform them about your Software I hope HMA will guide better about your Connection and configuration setup to PPTP protocol.

Did this problem ever get resolved? I have exactly the same problem, VPN connected, but traffic not passing through, still showing original IP address when I go to whatismyip.com?

Hi, guys, has this not been resolved yet, I am having the same problem, Surely a firmware upgrade could sort this out, I really don't want to go down the road of buying a new router, compatible with DD-WRT, I thought I had found a router that had everything I needed, Maybe not.
