7800DXL & Homeplug issue

Post by greshoff »

I have a pair of these, TL-PA4020PKIT, and a TP-Link TL-PA451 AV500 adapter that have been working without issue. I tried to connect to the internet using the computer connected to TL-PA4020PKIT as well as the device connected to the TP-Link TL-PA451 AV500 but neither can connect to the network. My main computer connected to the router, Billion 7800DXL can connect without issue. The lights are illuminated on both the TL-PA4020PKIT adapters. I have rebooted the router and replaced the cables but still cannot connect. The lights on the router are orange for the port connected to the homeplug. Any ideas?

From the devices on the mains ethernet plugs try and ping the router or the device connected to the router. If you cannot then the problem lies with the mains ethernet devices. If you can then check your default router entry (should be the Billion).

Yes, The issue as with the adapters rather than router. Reset and re paired them and they seem to be working OK for now. Thread can be closed
