7800/8800 2.32e firmware available on Au Billion site

Post by Antonio »

Dear billion fan,
shall we upgrade with the new firmware from the Au Billion site or wait for the Uk Billion site 2.32e firmware?
When are you going to publish the new version for european customers?
Best Regards

I read the release notes. Lots of fixes but no mention to statistics which have always been bugged. Lost hope.

Dear billion_fan,
dealing with the 2.32e release notes there should be a mistake in the following:
... 5. Update ADSL PHY code to A2pD038f...
Instead there should be written:
...5. Update ADSL PHY code to A2pD039f...
In 2.32d.dr3 the A2pD039f driver is finally able to extimate the real Attainable Rate.
Or are you reverting to the old A2pD038f phy code?
Best regards

I like the idea expressed on page 4 that visitors have to take a test before being allowed a connection.

Does item 42 relate to the frozen DHCP lease issue?

With 2.32e my attainable rate is showing a smaller number than my actual rate....

I've been getting that recently after setting my SNR to 5 and then 4.

Everything seems fine on the 7800 series running on ADSL2+ (two screen shots attached from our 2 test lines Enta and Zen)

The 8800 series seems to show a lower Attainable Rate then the actual sync rate.

Issue has been reported to our engineers
