Moving to BT

Post by ricke17 »

Hello,

So I am (hopefully) getting out of my plusnet contract and will be moving back to BT.

Without having to do a factory reset and following the easy start guide thing, is there any settings I can tinker with to allow me to connect to the BT FTTC? I have so many settings in force that I don't want to lose, and I will be having IPTV too.

Cheers,

Rick.

Hi ricke17. You should just be able to re-configure the WAN settings and you're good to go.
If you mean BT IPTV, then there is a good document in this post viewtopic.php?f=19&t=3932#p12383

Hey - it is the WAN settings that I would just need to reconfigure - would it just be the BT broadband name and password I would need? I cannot remember lol

Yes, the usual 'BTHomehub@btbroadband.com', and no password.

Awesome.

So all I would have to do is to amend it in the Wan Service part? Nothing else?

Sorry if I sound stupid lol.

Just need my current ISP to give me notice about increase in prices (thus a change in T&Cs) and I have 30 days to request a MAC and leave.

I think that's the case, as Plusnet is BT in another guise.
If anybody knows different, please chip in.
