Billion BiPac 8900AX-1600 Orientation

Post by Stevenrw »

I'm looking to buy one of these but I am concerned about the physical size of the unit.
All the pics (including those in the manual) show the unit standing on its end on a stand with the three antennas sticking upwards from the "top".
My router would sit in a unit underneath my TV along with Sky Box, DVD player etc so this orientation would make it far too tall. The antennae would hit the shelf above.
The antennae look to be hinged but does it have mounting feet on its other side?
So what I'm asking is can it be orientated like most other Billion (and other) routers so it sits laying flat with the antennas at the left end, turned upwards of course.

Yes you can lay the unit down, (like normal Billion products, you don't need to use the stand)

Attached are some pictures of the unit
