7800DXL won't allow wifi channel 1

The only channels available are 5 to 13.

Why?

(The manual says only 1-7 are allowed!)

Found how to do this.

Set channel width to 20.

Available channels will now show 1. Set Ch 1.

Set bandwidth to 40.

Why so stupid?!

When set to 40mhz, you must change the 'Control Sideband' to either 'Lower' to access to the lower channels and 'Upper' for the higher channels.
