Post by billion8800 »

Does anyone know how to disable ipv6 on the lan side when in bridge mode please? - gui says auto but would like the ability to turn it off if possible.

Many thanks

hi.

thanks for your reply. I attach my routers screen shot. Is it to switch it off via a command line option?

thanks

It should be off once you disable the IPv6 DHCP server, you can confirm this by running a IPv6 test

The other option is disable IPv6 on your LAN card (quicker option)

that's the issue. even though ipv6 options are not enabled on the 8800nl v1 in bridge mode and the lan interface connected to it has ipv6 disabled the modem is still assigning itself and fe80 address..

any other way to switch it off ?

No I don't think you can, even with no WAN connection the LAN IPv6 will still there
