Power Supply for 7800DXL

I run a 12V UPS system at present which powers a 7800N and an NAS server to enable use of wireless laptops during a power cut. Can I run the 7800DXL from 12V for short periods instead of 15V or will the internal regulator drop out?

For short periods you should be fine
