just managed to connect 8200n to the internet after using the Billion_UK 8200N 1.06a.dd2.dt1 firmware. pretty big speed drop compared to openreach ECI box.
ECI box.
8200n.
ouch.
so much for a one box solution.

It seems the router is syncing at the current upstream rate (7804 kbps) so in theory you should be able to receive these speeds
The low sync speed with ECI kit is a known issue which I assume can not be resolved due the lack of movement since last year when the engineering guys were testing the router on my line.
On my line the OR modem syncs at around 66Mbps but the 8200N only manages to sync at 52Mbps.
Thought I would give you some other details about this.
I did hear back from Billion at the end of January this year who advised that they have managed to find some contacts at ECI to work with the chipset vendor in order to resolve this issue. They did not give me a definite timescale but did say they were still working on it.
At least all is not lost although I'm looking at the new Draytek 2760 series because it's quite reasonably priced and Draytek say it will work with Sky.
