[27/4/2013] New firmware 7800DXL/ VDOX 2.31.RC4.3
7800DXL/ VDOX 2.31.RC4.3 firmware
Sorry for the long wait but this 2.31.RC4.3 firmware should fixed most known issues. So please give us some feedback before we formally release it on our website.
1) Should fix reboot /lockup issue while accessing WiFi settings page on WebGUI.
2) Should fix reboot/ lockup issue with Hamchi VPN client and Steam chat on Windows XP SP3.
3) MAC cloning added on EWAN.
4) USB now supports NTFS and no un-mounting and re-mounting issue.
5) PSTN CID working. (7800VDOX)
6) PSTN buzzing noise fixed. (7800VDOX)
It is recommended to reset your router to factory default and re-configure after this firmware upgrade as there have been major changes from 2.24b firmaware.

Loads of odd countries like "ww" and other short codes. Usually just expect a list of country names in the drop downs.
Also specific DNS per gateway didn't seem to stick, noticed it on ADSL gateway. When set globally for all gateways the DNS server addresses stuck.
Havn't checked yet if IE10 needs to be in Compatibility Mode to make custom NTP server addresses stick like on 2.24.

Note sure if this is just co-incidence, but IPV6 does not seem to be working with this latest RC. It was working with 2.24
Unless the ISP, has an IPV6 issue that happened around the same time... Will look into it.
On the plus side, no router lockups since upgrading to the Release Candidates

A few reboots and I still am not picking up IPV6, I did a factory restore and configured from scratch when I upgraded to this firmware....really odd.

Another odd thing is the tweak SNR option, I have set it to 3, as per previous router and firmware on this on and it syncs at around 6... I just set it to 2 and it synced at around .
Not sure if this is just me and my line?

What is your default SNR value when set to -1.BadMelonFarmer wrote:Another odd thing is the tweak SNR option, I have set it to 3, as per previous router and firmware on this on and it syncs at around 6... I just set it to 2 and it synced at around .

What SNR vaule do you want to achieve?? The 7800DXL/VDOX/DX has different SNR values when compared to the 7800N.
If you let me know how much you want the SNR to drop eg by 6db or 9db etc I will give you a value to enter.

Hi,
with a "-1" setting i get an SNR of 9.1
I am trying to get it to 3 as my old 7800N was rock solid at 3
so looking to reduce by 6db.
Thanks
