7800DXL wi-fi performance

I am very seriously considering buying a 7800DXL but need something with the best possible Wi-Fi range as well as very good reliability/stability. Can anyone who has purchased one of these comment on the Wi-Fi performance?

I find the WiFi pretty good - I have a very old house with thick stone walls and primarily use the 5Ghz band. I suspect I would get better range on the 2Ghz band but performance seems fine to me.

However, I have read that the range is not as good as the old 7800N . . . others can confirm if this is the case.

I wouldn't say the 7800DXL wifi range is lower than a 7800N.

In fact both models perform better than most average access points.

I own and have owned both.
