Long one but here goes.....
Been on holiday for a week, so switched off the PC router etc at the plug whilst away for 7 days.
Came home, fired it all up, and the router is refusing to play ball.
It will only connect to the internet for about 2 minutes despite a nice green DSL and internet light.
If I unplug the DSL cable, it will still not let me connect to the modem direct via cat cable by my pc.
If I switch the router off and on, I get random 2 minutes access (sometime longer).
So I downloaded (Via tethered phone) the latest firmware and via EAN connection was able to update.
Rebooted and got about 20 mins of connection, before it dropped again.
I'm sure this is router and not my internet as I can't connect to the router over a wired connection with or without the DSL cable attached.
Also as a side note, the wireless light is on, but the router is not showing on any device. I have ensured the router is visable and tried WPS??
I can't get hold of another router to check the incoming connection until tommorrow so just ruling out all other possibilities until then.
Thanks for any advice.

I've reached the end of my tether with my 7800n; bought it to replace my trusty old hgv2700 a while back but since upgrading to 106h, my internet is up and down like a whores drawers and connection speed has been rubbish for the last couple of days. Just dug out my old faithful 2700 and wow, internet has come back to life.
Billion, overpriced rubbish in my humble opinion

You can always downgrade the firmware if neededpavlos wrote:I've reached the end of my tether with my 7800n; bought it to replace my trusty old hgv2700 a while back but since upgrading to 106h, my internet is up and down like a whores drawers and connection speed has been rubbish for the last couple of days. Maybe a fault within your setup or a faulty unit.
There was a spate of iffy units coming out of Amazon some while ago.
For what it's worth mine has been rock solid & Billion support has been of the highest order.

Ditto - I bought mine in July 2011 and haven't had any bother with it and the only BB problems I've had were ISP related.tinytim wrote:For what it's worth mine has been rock solid & Billion support has been of the highest order.
Just wondering how much longer it will last as it is now out of its 2 year warranty.
