Hi,
I recently replaced my old Netgear router with a Billion 7800DXL as it kept dropping out.
I've connected my LG N2B1DB2 NAS to an ethernet port on the 7800DXL and while I can see the NAS fine in the web manager and I can see the NAS fine in windows explorer when I try and connect to any of the folders on it using the LG login and password windows explorer reports an error and crashes.
I'm using WIndows7 Ultimate 64bit.
Anybody got any ideas what I might be missing? I just did the basic setup on the 7800DXL to connect it to the internet.
Best regards Steve

Re: Problem connecting LG N2B1DB2 NAS
I've a Synology NAS & I had to set read/write protections within the NAS to users, ie the Win7 users so that I could access the drives.
Could something like that be the same for the LG NAS?

Re: Problem connecting LG N2B1DB2 NAS
The LG lets you set up users within the LG control panel for SAMBA access to the files. You then provide these details when connecting to the defined folders on the NAS in windows. This is what's causing the issue. When I remove protection it access the files fine no problem ( which isn't an option ), with read/write restrictions in place Windows Explorer just crashes when I enter the login details. It all worked fine this morning with my old router so it's more than likely the 7800DXL causing the issue.
Thanks for you suggestion.
