Hi,
I upgraded recently to 232b, and all has been well apart from problems with AppleTV streaming direct from Apple. Latest AppleTV model. Local Airplay or streaming from a computer inside the network works fine.
I'm connected to 5Ghz and after about a day the streaming stops working and shows an 'error loading this content' message. It works if I then reboot the router.
UPnP and all other settings look fine. I made sure to do a factory reset after upgrade.
Anyone else seen this and know of a permanent fix? It never happened to me on the older firmware versions.
Thanks in advance.
Jonathan

If the issue occurs again, can you login to the router and disable and re-enable the the 5G wireless band, and let me know if the issue is resolved without having to reboot the router.JonathanN wrote:Hi,

Also try setting your 5g band to 20mhz

Re: AppleTV and latest firmware
Hi,
Thanks for the help - changing the 5Ghz band did not seem to fix the issue. Seems to be a reboot only fix.
I am also going to factory restore the AppleTV just to rule out any issues there.
Is the a performance impact from changing 5Ghz to 20Mhz? Just want to understand why changing this might help.
Regards,
Jonathan

I suggested this 20mhz fix to another user and it solved the issues with 2.4g band, hence the reason I thought it might be worth a tryJonathanN wrote:Hi,

Another thing to try if possible when the apple TV goes down, are other devices able to use the 5g band??

FYI, so far switching to 20Mhz has seen no repeat of the problems.
Will let you know if the situation changes and thanks for the tip!

Jonathan
Ps - does 20MHz offer reduced performance in any way? I see no sign of this, just wondering.
