IPv6 not being picked up from ADSL

Post by BadMelonFarmer »

Hi all,

My 7800DXL does not pick up the IPv6 address from my ISP despite it being supported.

I had this a while back on a previous firmware and it corrected itself ... but since I have moved to 2.32c I have not seen any IPv6 at all.

it is enabled in the web interface:-

Status Page:
No IPv6 Status.jpg
WAN xDSL Config Page:
No IPv6.jpg
is there somewhere else I have to enable it?

Nearly forgot .... yes I did do a factory restore and reconfig from fresh when I did the firmware update

any ideas?

Cheers

Under 'Status >> WAN' are you able to see the Ipv6 address, with IDnet, everything should be done by the Idnet and all you should have to do is enable IPv6 like you have done, for the WAN connection,

Hi,

yes the IPv6 address is now listed where you mention ... it used to display it on the main front page.

the only other thing I had to enable to get it to work was to enable "Issue Router Advertisements" under Configuration> IPv6 Autoconfig.

it sprang into life after i enabled this... I have done a few external port scans and it does not seem to have done anything nasty.
