3100SN and 7800DXL
I want to extend my wifi. I shall plug the 3100SN into a wired ethernet port on the 7800DXL. How do I configure the 3100SN so that it only extends the wifi and just use the IP addresses assigned from the 7800DXL. I want to be on the same home network as my music server and other computers. No changing IP's as I walk around the house please.

Try setting it up in AP client mode guide belowAndrew wrote:I want to extend my wifi. I shall plug the 3100SN into a wired ethernet port on the 7800DXL. First, make sure the SSID and wireless type and password are set to match your 7800DXL, eg same network name WPA2, AES, same password,
Then follow the attached guide

Thank you but I am not sure this is correct. My situation is that I need the wifi to be extended from the other end of the LAN network so that the connection between the router and the repeater is by wire - the wireless range is not large enough. regards Andrew

If you are using a wired connection, from the 7800DXL to the 3100SN, all you need to do is, setup the wireless settings on http://192.168.1.253Andrew wrote:Thank you but I am not sure this is correct.
