Well I done as you said about changing to 20mhz and then left the playstation idling for a few hours. I don't believe it dropped off once as it usually requires a manual sign-in.
I proceeded to do some further testing with inSSIDer and all readings apper pretty much the same although Channel 1 seemed a bit up and down on the graph. I decided to leave it on Channel 6 as I previously had it.
Channel 1
Living Room Bedroom Computer room
LS = 72 LS = 80 LS = 89
2.4GHz = -66 -49 -38
5Ghz = -74 -68 -47
Channel 6
Living Room Bedroom Computer room
LS = 81 LS = 83 LS = 83
2.4GHz = -65 -53 -35
5Ghz = -73 -65 -44
Channel 11
Living Room Bedroom Computer room
LS = 83 LS = 77 LS = 80
2.4GHz = -66 -58 -32
5Ghz = -76 -66 -53
LS is for Link Score, The higher the better, Obviously the dB rating is lower the better.
It appears the spacing between the three zones tested didn't come out.
I'll report back over the next few days to see if I continue to get further drop outs or not.

I think that may be it resolved. Not had a single drop out since changing it.
Still not too impressed with the WiFi strength but at least it works now. Thanks for your help!
