WIFI - iOS devices issue

Post by ukionthenet »

I have the bipac 7800DXL with 2.32d.dh2 firmware.
I have the following recurring issue: occasionally (once or twice a day, with a duration of a couple of minutes) my iPad or my iPhone (but not my laptop) wifi connection freezes. Even if Wifi signal remains strong on those devices, web pages cannot be opened (even local router home page). Sometimes the temporary problem affects only the iPad but not iPhone or vice versa.
I tried to change (one by one, in a week of testing) every single advanced wlan setting to fix this issue with no success. The problem is the same in 2.4ghz or 5ghz networks.
Has anybody noticed a similar issue? Found a solution?

Can you post a picture of your advanced wireless settings page?

Not sure if you have tried this but try the following

1. Change the 'Control Sideband' to 'Lower'
2. Change the 'Channel' to '1'
3. Change the 'Bandwidth' to '20mhz'
4. Click on 'Apply'

The bandwidth change to 20mhz greatly improves the ios wifi connection stability. I had only 2 minutes of the above issue in a week. Thanks
