That's the problem when you are with BT, their Digital Line Management usually overrides any SNRM tweaks after a few days and drags you back to where you were.

What max speed have BT said you can get as I've noticed they seem to have low mins which they deem as acceptable.

Divide your Downstream Attenuation by 13.81 and that will give the approx. length of cable (kms) between you and the exchange then put the Downstream Attenuation value into http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/max_speed_calc.php and that will give an approx. speed of what you could expect based upon a 6dB profile.

With a Downstream Attenuation of 51dB you should be getting a bit more than 2.6meg even though you are on a 9dB profile, so it may be worth contacting BT.

If that's the best they can do for you, then you may have to consider fibre or changing ISPs.
