glaker wrote:Hi,
Thanks for the reply, I've removed the firewall rules but still no luck, the port forwarding was setup automatically when I flashed version e of the firmware, should I be able to see open ports using the web site 'canyouseeme' ? as I cant I checked the logs and the dns seems to be updating OK (Jun 10 18:08:42 user info syslog: ddnsd: glaker.servepics.com (ptm0.1) IP has changed from (null) to 80.43.95.79) I'm just very confused and a tad disappointed, any other suggestions will be greatly received.

Have you checked other ports to see if they are open eg 443 or 80?

Hi,
Yes I've tried all ports that should be open by using the web site canyouseeme and running a port checker software on my pc. I'm totally lost any suggestions gratefully received.

Try removing the UPNP rules for the devices IP (192.168.1.108) and manually add them again (don't forget when manually adding the rules to change the interface to 'ptm0.1), or try to put your device into DMZ

Hi glaker, I can assure you that port forwarding does work, and to re-iterate what Billion_Fan said, check that you have selected the correct WAN port.
I say this as somebody who transferred about 15 rules, by hand, from my 7800DXL, and got the WAN port wrong (Error 99 ........ the idiot attached to the keyboard!), which meant doing them all again :|
