You don't need to enable the VLAN, just enable the bridge leaving the VLAN as default -1 (The VLAN tag is only used when using a VDSL (PTM) connection, as you are using the EWAN you don't need it on either WAN (Ethernet) PPPOE or Bridge as shown the screen shot )

ok so the issue is when I create the ethernet bridge, i then need to edit the wan port settings to enable the IGMP Multicast Proxy (as you would do on the VDSL interface) as this is needed for IPTV. It is then that all communication from the LAN stops, and I move the cable to any port I get intermittent connectivity (pings respond a few times then fail) and no internet access. Also wireless is dead.

TBH I think I am about done with this router, the VDSL interface is rubbish for infinity2 (i have lost 10MB down and 5mb up so far) and the wireless is pants compared to my AC-68U.....its going back and billion need to get their act together or more customers will leave them.

If you wish to return the device that's fine, just to let you I have ran the same test here (open reach modem >> 8800AXL) using EWAN PPPOE and added a Bridge interface with 'IGMP Multicast Proxy' enabled for the PPPOE connection and everything is working fine here, no ping time outs (two ping tests were performed one to the router and one to the internet)

Think I've discovered the problem. My home network uses a TP-Link TL-SG3210 v1 switch which connects to the router and when I configure the bridge mode I lose all connectivity and wireless. If I bypass this and plug directly into the router from my laptop, all works ok. Can't see anything on the switch which would cause this and when I have the ac-68u in place all works ok including iptv so it's specific to the billion & switch....will dig around for a solution but don't hold too much hope!

I feel that I have to defend this router, as I purchased it because I had lost ~10Mbs download speed, whilst using an Openreach modem.
My stats are now 80/20, and have been rock solid for 32 days.
To be fair, the wireless range isn't as good as other routers, but then again, it doesn't look like Goonhilly!

It appears whenever I try and configure a new bridged WAN service, the DHCP server option is removed under LAN/Ethernet configuration and subsequently devices cannot connect at all.

Reset the unit back to factory default settings

Then set up the PPPOA connection for ADSL connectivity, VPI/VCI 0/38 also enable 'IGMP Multicast Proxy'

Then add the second WAN bridging ATM VPI/VCI 0/35 (this has to be done after you setup the main PPPOA connection)

Enable IGMP snooping and set it to Standard Mode (found under Configuration >> LAN)

Then finally enable 'Membership Join Immediate (IPTV)' found under 'Advanced Setup >> Multicast'

Then restart your BT Vision or you view box

I'm also trying to get it to work on ADSL2 but I'm not having any luck. I've followed the guides but the IPTV channels still won't work. I've tried resetting to default and doing it again but still no joy
