Have you enabled intrusion detection??

If so try and disable it. :D

Also do you have another computer on the network, that can help verify if this issue isolated to just one computer?

I personally don't have intrusion detection on, but in your case you you have no other choice then to disable it.

I saw the post from Gunny2k9 in May about using the 7800N for BT Infinity, I've just had Infinity installed and tried to set up my 7800N, I followed the instructions, and could see the Ewan connection in the control panel, but on the router the Ewan light remained yellow and could not get an internet connection, yet, as soon as I plugged everything back into the BT home hub, I was instantly connected.

Any ideas what could be the problem.

Thanks

You need to set the EWAN to PPPOE and enter your BT username and password in the sections provided, save the config and restart the router.

The ornage light on the EWAN port is normal as the EWAN port runs a 100mbps.

I finally managed to get it working by using the username bthomehub@btinternet.com and my password.

Everything worked OK , except that I could not get wireless from the 7800N, and within an hour the router had stopped working completely, and I couldn't get it running again.

Is there anything else I can do to get BT Infinity to run without a problem?

Turn off the router, plug up to the EWAN port (on the 7800n) Restart your PC, Turn on the router, quickly grab the system log, steps below, once done disable the wireless (Basic >> WLAN >> WLAN Service Disable)

Submit a ticket here and also attach your system log. (System log found under (advanced >> status >> system log, make sure you copy and paste the whole system log)
