I have BT TV working, with no issues, by following the excellent guide in the 8800 section.
The guide for the 8800 series was for a VDSL connection, the issue starts when running IPTV over ADSL (hence the issues and confusion as BT haven't released their setup method for ADSL IPTV)

BT supplied me with a HH4 to get BT Sport working which it did. However the throughput dropped to the point I had a very unhappy family. This was not because of BT Sport taking up bandwidth as it was not used much. I have therefore had to revert back to the 7800 so happy family but no sport. Good news is I know the multicast service is active on my connection - would now be useful if BT would just tell me how.
