yep i am using the firmware 1.06g.dc1fatboydel666 wrote:Should have my router back from Billion shortly, the wireless was broken.
Did you use the latest ukbillion7800nv6_1.06g.afw config with SKY or the UKBillion7800NV6_1.06g.dc1.afw one?
I assume it will need to be the dc1 version. Not sure what the new router will have on it to start with.

Will (wantage42),
Thanks for your help, I followed your instructions, but it is still not working.

It is probably worth mentioning that the internet LED on the front of the router is not illuminating throughout any of this process. Is that normal? The EWAN LED is yellow.
Here is a screenshot of my settings:

Could it be the router is faulty perhaps?
Thanks for your help, I followed your instructions, but it is still not working.
Here is a screenshot of what I get after the reboot:Think your going wrong here " I then used Quick Start from the menu and changed the Connect Mode to ADSL, pressed Continue and then set the Protocol to be MPoA" that needs to be Ewan.
Try doing it this way.
Advanced- Configuration- Wan- Wan Profile. Now enter your details, ie Profile Port, EWAN. Tick Nat. Client id, enter the sky username/password.
The next step is the one, hit the Edit/delete, followed by save config, then restart. Touchwood, thats the sequence.
let us know how it goes.
Best Regards, Will

I appear to be having issues posting the screenshots into the forum. Any tips? I'm using a Mac.

Post the screen shots as attachment files.
Don't use the 'Img' option when posting, only use this option is you have uploaded the picture to a server on the internet, so you can link to the pic via URL.

Does seem strange. I know you have checked and double checked, but just make sure.donaldo247 wrote:Got it. Here is the first screenshot:And this is the 2nd: Thanks
You are using the firmware from post 7 in this thread.
and you are putting the password username in like mine (Changed some letters & numbers) no space between anything and with the bar in the middle.

Thanks Will,
But I have definitely got the correct firmware version and the client ID is as it should be. I'm guessing it has to be a faulty router then?

I've run out of ideas to be honest. Just thinking aloud here, you did extract the the username/password from the fibre router and not your previous sky router, because they do change.donaldo247 wrote:Thanks Will,

Have you tried rebooting the openreach modem.
When you loaded the firmware to the 7800n, did you have it reboot to default, people/billion seem to always recommend this.
I guess from reading your posts, you must be able to wire up the sky/sagem and it all works ok.
Just my thoughts, trust me i know how frustrating these things can be.

Something else i seem to remember, When first changing to the 7800n it took a couple of minutes to connect. (You are giving it a chance)donaldo247 wrote:Thanks Will,
