So I know there is probably an obvious answer to this but for the life of me I cannot work out how to change the DNS servers on my 7800N to OpenDNS. I have tried changing them under Configuration-WAN by taking the tick out of the Obtain DNS-Automatic box and entering the OpenDNS servers in the Primary and Secondary boxes, then rebooting but when the router comes back online the tick is back in the Obtain DNS-Automatically box and the router has gone back to BT's DNS servers. I have done this several times clicking the apply box before rebooting or just rebooting with the same result.

I have also tried this under DCHP Server-Use Router As DNS Server by taking the tick out of the box and entering OpenDNS servers in both boxes, then Apply and Save Config but the DNS servers showing under Configuration-WAN stay the same.

I'm feeling a little silly at the minute so any help would be appreciated!

Login to the routers Basic menu, and click on 'WAN' on the left hand side, untick Obtain DNS Automatically and the open dns servers 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 and then click on 'Apply' (I think you missed the 'Apply' step)

The router will save and reboot, once rebooted double check your settings

I could have sworn I didn't miss the Save Config-Apply step but obviously I missed something as doing it again finds me running on OpenDNS servers. Still feeling a little silly though! LOL. Thank you.

Shouldn't feel too silly about that as I'd guess that most of us have made the same error in the past - or more than once in my case!
