Getting internet connection in mobile phone

Getting internet connection in mobile phone through desktop computer? I recently installed wi-fi network connection in my home. And I have connected this wi-fi network to my desktop computer by LAN connection. Now is it possible to have internet connection to my Sony Xperia mobile(has wi-fi capability) from this computer? Please tell me the procedure.

Had similar issue but couldnt get it to connect for ages.
Ended up with other issues with the Samsung phone, so got it repaired there,
and found out had a loose wifi module in the phone, so might be worth running a few test if is temperamental with other wifi devices too.
