Slower VDSL2 with Billion 8800axl versus Huawei HG633 !!

It was 2 weeks ago I upgraded to TalkTalks Fibre Speed Boost 76 Meg , previously I had TT Fibre which gave me 38 Meg , I only live 400 yards from the main exchange in a small town . All line tests for this area say 75 Meg expected speeds.
I also have a Billion 7800n connected as a secondary access point via LAN1 to LAN1 and setup and working fine , it was 2 x 7800n's but I upgraded to the 8800axl to be the master because 7800n has no VDSL , that was over 6 months ago and this is the first problem.
When testing I remove ALL the LAN connections and turn off 7800n so its a basic 8800axl with Laptop on LAN or wireless ( HP 8740w Quad/Nvidia 5000m/8G RAM ) and plugged directly into main BT socket , no phones plugged in either.
Testing over the last 6 months the Billion seemed more responsive and worked aswell as the Huawei if not better , I could do Speedtest.net and get 30/35 Meg download speeds regularly and the graph would be reasonably flat not all peaky.
However since I have had the Faster speed the Billion 8800axl tests a lot slower than the Huawei HG633 ?
I can plug the Huawei in and get over 60 Meg , but the Billion struggles around the 30/40 Meg most of the time and occasionally peaks to 50 Meg ,
but that's tops I have seen for the Billion.
I have tried " Full Factory reset " and redo all settings , manually on the VDSL and via the " Quick Start " auto setup ,both seem to work and get me
online but I cannot get the same speeds as the Huawei ? I know speeds vary over the day but this consistently is slower I can swap routers and test then swap back and test and the results are always that the Billion is slower by a long way !!
Just this evening I tried the " etec8800axl_2.32e.dh4.afw " to see if it would kick the ADSL back into life and I had seen LAN connected devices being ignored sometimes when on Laptop wireless, resetting all to Factory Settings aswell , did the basic settings and then tried speedtest.net over the LAN
no luck , seems to be exactly the same , such a pity as I really like the 8800axl , all other features seem to be perfect , its just the Modem that is having issues.
I have had Billions for over a decade and never had this ? I have enclosed some screen shots of config pages in the Billion maybe " Billion Fan " can see where I have got it wrong , although to be honest I have tried a selection of settings to the point of utter confusion now , these just seem to work best ATM.
Is it a mix of bad settings or is there a hardware issue here ?
Dave.
