Hi,
I was wondering if anybody is using the 8900ac ( must be ax and amazon have it listed wrong) - 2400 successfully with talk talks adsl 16Mbps service?
I am contemplating buying one, but just wanted to see if anybody has had a good experience already?

Thanks in advance.

You should be fine, 8900AX-2400 will work with all UK ISP's and with ADSL/VDSL(FTTC)

I've been using a 2400 with TT VDSL (fibre) for several months. I had a 7800N running on TT ADSL for about 6 years.
Both have had no trouble at all

As Billion Fan says, the 2400 will run fibre or conventional broadband and will do it way better than any TT router can.

It may give a small increase to downloadload speed but you should notice that wifi speed will be as good as ethernet speed.

My wired PC gets 26.5 and my iPad 26.3.

Hope that helps
Pete

Hi - I've been using a 2400 on TalkTalk's ADSL service for about a week without any service issues. My router's status page claims:
Line Rate - Upstream (Kbps) 1019
Line Rate - Downstream (Kbps) 18920
I'm running 2.52.d16 firmware
I've disabled PhyR, not because of any problems but because I read on https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Non ... d-p/603831 that it's not compatible with TalkTalk's service. As this was in 2011, it may well be out of date advice though.
Regards, Mike
