My Review of Owning Both The 8800NL R1 & 8800NL R2
So i decided to go back on myself and take the dive for the Original 8800NL I Tried firmware
2.32d.dh65 - Got a increase in upload to 19.20mb but the ES were in the 100s so i decided to go to
2.32d.dm2 - Lost 1mb from the 2.32d.dh65 but whocares right? so tried this dm2 and boy oh boy ES came right down and IMO is the best firmware for stability.
The reason i tried the original 8800NL was cause of the BCM63168 chipset which seems to get praised a lot since the 8800NL R2 uses the BCM63381 so what i wanted to know what decided you guys at Billion to go with the cheaper Chipset for the R2? Just wondering

and while we are on this subject when trying the 8800NL R2 it seemed to generate more ES would it be possible to get a Firmware like the Original 8800NL to make the ES Lower?

Can really comment the hardware, we can only offer what our HQ manufacture.
Try using the attached firmware for the 8800NL R2, (it has a different DMT code)

Hi nfxcr3w
Did the dm2 firmware provide lower es errors on the upload or download and was it the up or download speed that reduce by 1mb when you installed the dm2 firmware. Reason I ask buddy is, I'm currently running the dh65 firmware and also getting high es count. Thanks

the dm2 firmware provided much lower ES on the download and upload for the 8800NL it was the upload that reduced by 1mb but when i used the d65 on the 8800NL i was getting 100 ES/Min on the upload but the dm2 in IMO is the best one for the 8800NL

Thanks for that nfxcr3w I'll give dm2 firmware a try, hopefully it will to reduce the downstream es errors I've been getting on dh65 firmware. Much appreciated buddy...
