I am the new Billion BiPAC 8800AXL R2 user. I'm having trouble connecting to SKY Fibre Ireland. I want to replace my poor SR102.
After connecting phone line a minute later my DSL and internet LED stays ON, but still no internet on my laptop. After next minute Internet LED turns off, DSL keeps staying ON.

What IP address do you get when the internet LED turns on (Status >> WAN')
From the current description it seems the PPP connection is dropping and not reconnecting, but if you get a proper public WAN IP you should have internet access for a short time, but that is not the case, so its a strange one
Also when it internet LED turns off, check the status >> WAN to see what if happening with the WAN connection
This is my Sky status when connected as modem only:
This is my 8800AXL when connected to DSL:
Status >> WAN' stays always: "connecting".
Also interesting, when tried to extract username & password by wireshark (just wanted to try with my real username & password) I couldn't find any DHCP Discover Packets - I'm not the expert, maybe was doing something wrong.

I'm not sure about the '802.1P Priority' and the '802.1Q VLAN ID' setting for Ireland, may be you can try setting these back to -1 for both options and see if you are able to connect (Configuration >> WAN >> WAN Service, Edit the PTM>>>IPoE connection to find these settings)
