7800 DXL Help !!

Post by timmay »

Hi, I've just bought a 7800DXL Router on recommendation and have installed it using the Easy Sign On feature as I have REALLY limited computer knowledge. I followed the instructions through to conclusion and have the internet working fine, but I cannot get any wireless connection through to my iphone 4s or my wife's samsung galaxy s2. Neither phone even shows that a network is available although the two lights for wireless on the router are both lit. I've tried to contact my internet service provider (AOL) but haven't recieved a reply.
I am wondering if the problem is of my own making but am unable to tell.
Any advise - in complete idiots terms - would be REALLY appreciated.

After some help i have now got the wireless working BUT it is an open network (not secure) and I now need to know how/where to apply a password so that the network is secure.
Many Thanks in advance
Regards
Tim

. . . and once you are all sorted, don't forget to change the admin password to something other than the default.
