Hi
I have a Samsung UE4606500 LED TV and bought the wireless dongle with it. For some time it was no use - couldnt get it to talk to my Belkin wireless router. But recently I bought the 7800DXL - super speeds and stability so far BTW - and finally made a connection! It could actually see a laptop on the wireless network, though havent worked out yet how to access anything on it. But when I run a network test on the TV, it passes the IP address, DNS and gateway ping tests but says it cannot connect to the internet. Yet the TV shows up on the router's list of connected devices. Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be and how I might fix it? Thanks

Re: Linking TV to internet
Try setting static DNS servers to the device, or a static IP address outside the DHCP range and also static DNS servers. (I know it passed the IP address, DNS etc but this setup did help another customer)Metone wrote:Hi

Thanks billion_fan
Think I'm OK with the IP address but static DNS servers ... do you mean insert specific DNS numbers on the TV setup? Should they be the same as the routers's DNS numbers? Not very expert at this aspect of things.
