Hi
I hoped to use a tplink tl-wr841n as an AP wireless connection to my 7800dxl using WDS , this as it turns out , is not as simple as I hoped. I have looked at many guides related to both billion and tplink devices but to date have had no luck - I appreciate this tplink device may not be a specific wireless extender device but any help that might get my specific setup working would be appreciated.
Both devices support WDS but have very different setups - are they compatible ?
I have read many articles that suggest security is an issue but these seem to be old - does WDS support WPA2 ?
Thanks

Re: Help with WDS setup
As you Tp-link has a different chipset there might be issues with WDS and WPA security, the best bet is to setup the device first with no security and make sure they are talking to each other in WDS mode, once done try WPA set up on both devices with the secuity type and same password, if that fails try WEPstevebyo wrote:Hi
