I recently got the 7800DXL router to use it instead of the sky router (I know it's against their T&Cs, but I am fed up with its performance).

I have my sky login details and I followed the instructions from the 7800 manual, but I can't make it work.

Any ideas/help?

Are you on ADSL or FTTC?

Try using resetting the unit back to factory default settings then follow these steps. (I think you connection might be using PPPOA as some customers of Sky have been reverted to this setting)

1. Login in the unit
2. Click on 'Configuration>> WAN >> WAN Service'
3. Click on the 'Edit' button for the PPPOA connection
4. Enter your username and password in the sections provided and click on 'Apply'
