Hi All,
I have BT infinity being installed next week. Just wondering how I go about connecting the FC modem to my 7800 DXL and configuring so it will work with BT Broadband. Apparently the BT engineers only supply homehub4 units for new customers and they cannot guarantee functionality with 3rd party routers??? Is it straightforward?

Yep, it is straight forward, you can follow the UK quick start guide that came with the device, it has the BT FTTC setup mentioned.scwilson wrote:Hi All,

Or use the quick start feature within the web gui, change the main port to 'Ethernet' click on continue, make sure the type is set to 'PPPOE' and enter your BT broadband username and password in sections provided.

Thanks for the reply. I am on ADSL currently and can't re-call what I set for this, I think it was PPPOE also, does it matter for ADSL if it's PPPOE or PPPOA?
